I noticed that ScreenThumbs creates an ARexx port.
Would you consider adding ARexx commands for showing and hiding the screen
thumbnails? Also an ARexx command that would return a message indicating if the
thumbnails are currently being shown or hidden would also be nice.

Thanks.

Some suggestions:

- Make the thumb window active when pressing the hotkey
- Have it hide again when deselected (e.g. by clicking elsewhere)
- Have Esc hide it rather than quit it as RAmiga-Q can be used
- Make the popup gadget use the titlebar settings or allow the user to specify
its height (the outer frame makes it too tall here)
- Have the popup gadget jump to other screens
- Allow using the depth gadget imagery for the gadget so that it can be placed
over the existing screen gadget
- A bit of a challenge: Use both icon images (scaled as requested) as the gadget
imagery :-)
- Add an "ORIENTATION=TILED" which tiles the thumbs when there are 4, 6, 8, 9,
10, 12, etc screens.

When trying ScreenThumbs it tells me
ERROR: Can't open workbench.library v52 and intuition.library v52.
Im using OS4 July update. The july update has workbench.library v51.18 and
intuition.library 51.30.
Is this version of ScreenThumbs only for OS4 classic??

Very Cool!

Would it be possible to get the ScreenThumbs popup feature to work on whatever
public screen is presently active?

Another idea: It would be really nice if ScreenThumbs could be activated with a
right click of the mouse button when over the screen depth gadget.

Keep up the good work!

I thought this myself too, but I left it there. Maybe if I make it a commodity
so it's possible to quit the program from Exchange.

I think there's this kind of functionality inside already but I forgot to add a
possibility for a user to enable it.

Very nice!

Maybe it's not necessary to show the current screen in the preview?

I'd myself would like to be able to make it appear when I press a hotkey and
disappear when I release it so that I can either preview another screen only or
go there by clicking on it before releasing the hotkey.

Even if it didn't support such feature internally, if it just had an ARexx port
to be able to quit it, it would already be feasible in conjunction with
AllKeys...

Excellent program.

An optional feature I would like to see is to make it popup the window when the
mouse is in a specified corner, eg. if the mouse is over the screen depth button
for a user defined length of time the window will popup in the right corner of
the screen under the titlebar and do this on every screen.

Another thing, can you switch screens on the mouseup not the mousedown, this
would make it react more like the rest of the OS which always allows the user to
move the mouse from an active gadget before releasing the button to cancel an
operation.

@Sinisrus
I don't know how to make dockies otherwise I would do it.

@jahc+all
I managed to reproduce this too. Maybe I should try to get this program removed
from here.

When I run this utility, my system locks up after I move the mouse pointer to
get rid of the screen blanker.
