POff and snoopy do not play well together. If you reboot with POff and snoopy is running. I get a please insert Volume Snoopy request and a system lock up which requires a hard reset.

RTFM ;-) README says:
-X1000 takes 4 seconds internaly to poweroff; so I substract 4 seconds
to the seconds (WAIT) user defined.

Don't know if it confuses, but alas X1000 takes 4 seconds after poweroff code/command is sent (you can check source)..

What does other X1000 users think about, should I remove such "trick"?

TIA

Just tried the v1.3 on my X1000 and the wait counter lose 4 secs. When I set it up to 10 secs it counted from 6, and when I set it to 20 it started from 16.

BTW is it possible to have peg2 Open/Smart fw (like SAM460 UBoot) sources?
TIA

@jabirulo
I think you have misunderstood me.
Poff works (poweroff works and reboot works), but with v1.2 when using the ASK tooltype, the user can cancel the selected action by using the abort option (when it shows the 'wait' window. you call it 'THE LAST CHANCE' reaction window in the doc). That's when I get the recoverable alert (when I select 'abort' in the 'wait' window).
Sorry that I wasn't very clear.

@Mozzerfan: if you just use it from SHELL/CLI 'poff' and no args does it work? If it works, try again from SHELL/CLI 'poff 3' and if again it works try 'poff 3 SYNC' and tell me results. TIA

@samo79: well .readme says SAM460/X1000!!! ;-) and I don't know if you use SYNC and your machine isn't supported howto UN-SYNC volumes. Maybe an extra check if no SAM460/X1000 and just exist with 'Oops'.

Hi, First of all, thank you for this new version.
I just tried v1.2 on my sam460, and when selecting abort after choosing any option (poweroff, reboot) I get a recoverable alert (error 0100000F) and the system hangs, so I have to use the power button to reset my system.

Tried version 1.2 on my Sam440 Flex and i think you need to add a better check for this machine, an extra check for the PowerOff option is needed when a platform cannot support this functionality

If i use this option on my machine i got the usual error: "Ops machine non supported" but then even if i skip the error i got a series of DOS requester that block my machine completely --> Insert a disk etc

You might ask Cyborg (Costel Mincea, OS4 developer) for the sources of "pegoff". It would be nice to incorporate all "soft off" capable systems into one CLI tool.

Version 0.6 works on my X1000.

SendApplicationMsg() can be used to send Quit message to all apps, which have registered themselves in application.library at run time, to tell them to quit.

sorry, can't add pegoff poweroff, don't have sources. :-(
It didn't poweroff your X1000? The SYNC option is not 1:1 code alike (don't have such sources).
Will check ASAP what IApplication->SendApplicationMsg does.
For netshudown, you just can create a script with:
NETSHUTDOWN
WHATEVERYOULIKE
POFF

Well, it didn't work on my X1000. That SYNC feature was quite slow and slower than the same feature in Reboot command.

Is it possible you could add PegOff into it as well ?

Could you add: IApplication->SendApplicationMsg(0,0,0,APPLIBMT_Quit) to your program. And maybe even ability to run Netshutdown command as well. Or ability to run a script before powering off (to shutdown Apache for example and so on).

Sorry don't know if such feature (poweroff via soft) is available on A1-XE. Will try to check it.
