SMARTDock for AmigaOS 4.1,
is a plugin for the AmiDock toolbar system which should run on any AmigaOS 4.1
compatible hardware.

It aims at displaying and monitoring health of drives connected to the computer.

These informations are retrieved directly from the drives themselves using
S.M.A.R.T. technology which is supported by most modern hard drives and
solid-state drives.

In the event a drive would not support S.M.A.R.T. SMARTDock would not be able to
retrieve or display any sensible information, but it would not crash.

You can use "smartctl -s on sb600sata.device:0" CLI command to enable SMART on
your device.

Device name:unit can be found with SysMon in Volume or IDETool tabs

In order to gather S.M.A.R.T. information, SMARTDock uses the command line tool
'smartctl' from the software package 'smartmontools'.

As a consequence drive compatibility is the same as the one of the currently
installed version of smartctl.

SMARTDock results from a coordinated effort by Alexandre Balaban, Guillaume
'zzd10h' Boesel and Ölrick Lefebvre.

It is the fruit of our first coding week-end meeting nicknamed 'AmiOuest' (a
wink to the famous AmiWest ;-) which was held on January 2014.
