Install worked for me, and i chose the MUI GUI, but bear in mind that AmigaOS 4.1 has the URL prefs itself, so. It's the normal URL prefs that is used. I could be wrong, though, but that is the impression i get.

Always nice to have an update. Using the installer fails to update the OpenURL in Prefs from version 7.15 to 7.16. The MUI gui is also still present, even though I chose to install the reaction version.

Is there a benefit using OpenURL on OS4.1 instead UrlOpen which comes pre-installed with the OS?

Two things: The most important one, this version is out of date by more than 2 years whats up? Huh, huh.. shall I just attempt to replace it myself in the hope that the original submitter didn't supply a pass-phrase? Secondly, the point of this comment, a bug report: Submitted to project openurllib on sourceforge, artifact no: 3521183 and reported on Hyperion's forums. OpenURL doesn't intercept URLs embedded in Ringhio notifications; through use of the BACKRXMSG="URL.." method. Please fix asap as I want to make good use of it!

This version is out-of-date, see http://aminet.net/package/comm/www/OpenURL-7.6 for the latest version.

Its easier to rename the "Open URL" to "OpenURL" in the Prefs directory, than the installer works fine.

I also had to change "Prefs/Open URL" from a project to a tool to get it to run.

I have just installed this, but I had to correct a couple of things inthe install script. The prefs program now has a space between Open and URL, but this is not reflected in the install file. I had to add the space in lines 21 & 28. After that the install went fine.

@alababan Thanks for this update ! About newlib/clib, clib also rely on shared library anyway (exec, dos...), and newlib.library is part of OS4 the same as those ones.

Doh ! I forgot to update the install script !! And I should not have replaced the icons at the latest minute before packing the archive... I'll correct this, but this won't be before next year as I off for holidays.

Thanks for the update! I found a couple of small problems. The installer fails when trying to install the preferences program because still uses the name "OpenURL" instead of "Open URL". This also applies to the preferences .info file as well. The icon for the preferences program is set as a project icon and therefore tries to load "Open URL" in multiview which fails. Setting the icon as a tool icon fixes it. Once these are corrected things seem to work properly. Thanks!

I'm not big fan about this newlib thing just because to run a program that just do a printf you would need to have a particular library in your system. And that defeats the purpose of C-runtime... However if there is enough interest I may consider it.

Would it be possible to have a verion of the command and preference compiled with -newlib to make it smaller?
