Here it is totally blankled out. Must be incomplete feature.

Here when selecting Campaign an empty screen occurs where I can only return from using cancel (no other option available).

I don't think it's easily possible to play from HD. The installer tool extracts data from a customized archive and converts it into a format the Stratagus engine understands including images and sounds. They are worlds apart. To work off CD Stratagus would need some kind of plugin loader where it calls an external program to extract the file. In theory that would work. But I think it end being slow. I see your point.

As to single player you should be able to choose a race and play its campaign, but they may not have got that feature working. I will check that out. :-)

Forgot to ask: Is there any chance that normal single player mode (i.e. like on PC where player can choose a race and play its campaign) will be possible some day?

Again thanks for that great port!

Thanks. And also thanks for the port.
BTW: Is there any chance to play it with files from CDROM instead of installing everything on HD?

Hi, on my Pegasos2 G4 1266 Mhz with Radeon 9000Pro and 2 GB Ram (1,25Gb useable) runs it in 800x600 Fullscreen really good. From Time to Time a few Slowdowns but no Problem by Playing.

How is performance for example on Peg2 G4?

Well it uses Stratagus but needs the latest version so the 9 year old one certainly would not work! :-)

And the installer needed more work than a simple compile. Had to convert every little endian assumption on reads to a big one. As well as decypher cryptic x86-ASM / C-like code.

But yes, typical non-free crap. A standard Starcraftl CD should work fine. :-)

brilliant! , i thought this was stratagus at first and was just about to skip while i was saying.. hey capehill released this 9 years ago like.

off to find a copy on the web, sure free by now or is it the typical activision crap policy that nothing is free until forever?.

Yes, I've got the same. Seems to be a bug in the code itself. Will see if it's logged.

the only thing that the error log file had is the following

[string "PROGDIR:/.stratagus/sc/save/testgame.sav.gz"]:10540: '<name>' expected near '=='

Yes for some reason there is a bug in file loading. But it shouldn't crash. It didn't here. I guess you can send a log. :-)

Sorry about the OpenGL issue, forgot to mention that one. Yes I found that for some reason this didn't work. At one stage I got gfx but no text and a crash. Looks like this will need to be disable in future.

Tried that yesterday on my mAmigaOne and worked very nice, except two things. When I tried to load a game it totally crashed and when I tried to use OpenGL on graphics, after a restart I got only a black screen while the background music was playing just fine. I had to edit the config file to disable the OpenGL.
