      This mappack will be needed to play on PC Heretic II Servers (to avoid that the
maps are downloaded while playing which is slow). The mappack includes an
installer to make installation easier.
The mappack also includes an optional config.cfg (you can choose to install it
or not) which sets the IP Addresses of the most common multiplayer servers
for Heretic II. This will also include the IP of the server which will be
used for the soon-to be announced multiplayer event for Heretic II
(71.84.56.38:28910).
For fairness sake (if PC people also join) you should either install this
config.cfg
or manually set
cl_maxfps 60
cl_yawspeed 300
which are the settings commonly used on H2 for Multiplayer on PC. The config.cfg
included in this archive sets these values.
Note if you use the included config.cfg it will overwrite your Video Settings,
Audio Settings and Input Control Settings (you can choose to not install it
in the installer).
The maps included are the same as in base_maps.zip on H2 Vault.
