My Epson Perfection 1250 is now recognised and can generate a preview. The problem is the colours are all wrong.

@stanglnator So the "plustek" backend does not work for you? This backend was successfully tested with some other scanners (LiDE 30, Canon MP620). I have my doubts, that it is a problem of Sane/Xsane. What is your hardware configuration?

Same freeze with my Epson1260Photo. 1 Try Xsane or a other Backend see my Scanner. Try a Preview -> Freeze 2. Try only the Two Virtual Devices.

Got hold of an Epson Perfection 1250. Seems to recognise it OK, but when I try to scan it seems to freeze.

This is the correct library. Had a look at the sane homepage. The scanner is not supported, even the original Linux backend from HP (hpaio) does not support this model :-(

@CygnusEd libusb.library v 0.1.12 20,072 bytes. Thanks. I guess Printer/Scanners are not compatible, only pure scanners?

@DaveyW Which version of libusb.library do you have installed? You need version 0.1.12. It is not enough that it is listed under "Printer". It must be listed under "Vendor Specific" as a scanner device.

Thanks for the reply jabirulo. I have libUSB.library installed. USB stack is certainly running under AOS. I guess its running under AmiCygnix as I can access flash drives. I can see the printer listed under USBInspector "DeskJet 1050 J410 series" under Printer and Vendor Specific

@DaveyW Did you check if you have in LIBS: that library installed? libusb.library 20072 bytes version libusb.library file full libusb.library 0.1.12 (27.May.2008) And the USB stack started? ;-) Can you "see" under AOS4.1 the scanner (USBInspector)?

Does anyone know how to get this to work? I have a HP 1050 scanner. When I run xsane, it says "Scanning for devices" but only finds 2 virtual devices. I have installed this package and the frontends.
