hehe i had a connector, i had forgot to remove the metal shielding when building

If you can't find any connectors you must be looking at the wrong motherboard.

Maybe you have an SE? The SE has AMR instead of onboard sound. I have a couple
of homebrew AMR cards here which I'll try to test with this driver asap.
