The dtdescrip package contains a GUI program for creating datatype
descriptors and an AmigaDOS command for converting a descriptor
definition file saved by the GUI program.

dtdescrip (GUI program):
The dtdescrip user interface utilizes standard Reaction gadgets for
entering datatype descriptor data or loading data from an existing
descriptor. It also contains a sampling system for determining
common file header data that can be used to create a file
identification mask. The descriptor can be saved as a datatype
descriptor and/or saved as a text file that can be read by the
makeDTdesc command to create a datatype descriptor with an updated
version. The program is similar to the old 'dtdesc' program included
  on the OS3 developer CDs.
Install: Drag & drop (or copy) dtdescrip to any location on your
hard disk or to a directory in your shell path if you want
to start it from a shell.

makeDTdesc (AmigaDOS command):
The makeDTdesc command reads a descriptor text file saved from the
dtdescrip program and creates a datatype descriptor with the option
to update the version from a 'rev.h' file created/updated by the
'BumpRev' utility contained in the OS4 SDK.
Install: Copy makeDTdesc to a directory in your shell path.

Refer to the '.doc' files for specific documentation.

Changes:
Version 1.2 06/16/2018 - Fixed a read buffer overflow when header bytes
                                          are loaded from file samples.
Version 1.1 03/13/2018 - Fixed bug in mask file lister. More files could
be added to the mask lister than are
used for
                                          mask buttons.
