This package contains square and noise sound samples of the Commodore "TED" 264 series (Commodore 16/116/Plus4). You can find samples of notes A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, and A9, and TED's minimum and maximum frequencies with square and noise waveforms. The lowest note TED can play is A2 (110 Hz) and the highest is B9 (15 804.266 Hz). Thus the range starts from the Great and ends to Six-lined octave. In comparison, the Commodore 64 sound chip (SID) covers octaves Subcontra to Four-lined: notes C0 (16.3 Hz) to B7 (3951.1 Hz). The 264 series noise waveform has a unique timbre: the higher the pitch the more tone elements it has. Square waveform is a regular pulse waveform with 50% duty cycle. |
